MARIJA JEREZ (ES): WHAT IS THIRD
21.9. ● 18:00h ● 25 min ● &TD semicircular hall
What Is Third faces an enigma. How can the meeting of two things create a third one, a third dimension, something that hadn’t existed before? While appearing, the third thing simultaneously transforms the first and the second thing… thus making a shift, a process of deidentification. Emotion! Friction! Critique! Love! Otherness! The limit of the spoken language! On the other hand, in this project Maria uses her process’ resources as catalysts that help her create content with other people, interfere in others’ work and let the others interfere with her work. She is looking for unexpected encounters, positive criticism, togetherness and attentiveness.

INTERVIEW
IF YOU HAD ANY MEANS AVAILABLE (‘IDEAL WORLD SITUATION’) WHAT KIND OF PROJECT WOULD YOU DO?
There is a project that I have always wanted to do. It is a work space in Madrid for artists, run by artists. A place to share, to work, to read, to propose cinema sessions, to have heated conversations, to eat, to sleep, to get bored… A place with a big photocopy machine to make improvised publications, a space with different rooms so artists can work simultaneously… with rooms to sleep in order to invite people from abroad, a place with a big kitchen, a nice garden and a swimming pool (this is important! Madrid gets very hot in summer). This space should have natural light and be in the center of the city! This place is called LA BOMBA!
